Family Weekend Parking

We’re so excited to welcome you to the University of Kansas for Family Weekend 2026! To help make your visit as smooth as possible, here’s what you need to know about parking on campus for the weekend.  

We recommend that you download the HONK app Login | HONK parking app to pay by the hour in the locations listed below. It is also possible to create a visitor account at: https://ku.aimsparking.com and buy a daily yellow surface lot parking permit for $4.00

Family Weekend Parking Information

  • The Mississippi Street Parking Garage (1260 Oread Avenue) is located north of the Kansas Union at 13th & Oread, with two entrances on Oread Avenue and Mississippi Street.  
  • Upon parking in the garage, there will be signage to direct you into the building to check in   
  • If the Mississippi Garage fills up, parents, families, and guests can park in Lots 53 or 91 located on the east side of the David Booth Memorial Stadium   
  • Lot 53 is the parallel parking spaces along Mississippi Street.   
    HONK zone: 3942KU  
  • Lots 91 are the surface lots next to the stadium.  (HONK only applies to the yellow portion of LOT 91). 
    HONK zone: 3909KU  
  • Game Day parking is available at Lot 90 (1654 Naismith Drive) located south of Capitol Federal Hall.  There is a fee of $10 per vehicle to park in Lot 90.  If you have an RV, it is $10 per stall you use.  
  • South side of campus Lot 90, Yellow LOTS 89, 71, 125, 127, 89 and 93 are the ONLY options for individuals without a game day permit on football game days.  

Once parked, walk to Lot 72, located between the Burge Union (1565 Irving Hill Road) and the Allen Fieldhouse Garage to catch the shuttle from stop 216 to David Booth Memorial Stadium (11th Street). Shuttles from Lot 90 will go to the Spencer Museum of Art. 

Game shuttles begin 3 hours before kick-off and then begin to make return trips after halftime until 1 hour after the game ends.  

Drop-Off Locations:   

  • Regular shuttles stop on 11th Street (North side of Stadium) 
  • Lot 90 shuttle stop on Mississippi Street, at Spencer Museum of Art 
  • ADA service to Gate 1 (West side of Stadium)  
  • The Mississippi Street Parking Garage (1260 Oread Avenue) is located north of the Kansas Union at 13th & Oread, with two entrances on Oread Avenue and Mississippi Street.  

  • Upon parking in the garage, there will be signage to direct you into the building to check in.

    If the Mississippi Garage fills up, parents, families, and guests can park in Lots 53 or 91 located on the east side of the David Booth Memorial Stadium. These lots are not restricted on Sunday, and guests will not need to pay.
