What
Family Weekend is held each fall to give parents, families and supporters the opportunity to spend time with their students, experience life at KU, and explore the city of Lawrence.
When
This year Family Weekend will be October 2-4

Tees for Family Weekend 2026 will be released at a later time.
Lodging
As hotels in Lawrence tend to book quickly, check out Explore Lawrence for helpful visitor information. Many families also stay in nearby cities such as Topeka , Olathe, Lenexa, and Kansas City.
Registration
Registration for Family Weekend 2026 will be open Monday, July 20, and close Monday, August 31, at 5:00 PM CST!

Friday, October 2-The Jayhawk Adventure
Explore KU at your own pace during the Jayhawk Adventure! Enjoy family-friendly activities, visit open houses across campus, and discover the people, places, and resources that make KU a special part of your student's experience. Come and create your own Family Weekend adventure.
Saturday, October 3-Game Day on The Hill
KU football lover? Prepare to cheer on the Jayhawks as we play Middle Tennessee
Where Jayhawk families come together! Join the Office of Family Engagement for a Family Weekend tailgate filled with laughter, connections, and KU spirit!
Sunday, October 4 -Brunch & Blues
Join us for brunch and live jazz music to conclude your Family & Friends 2026 weekend with brunch and live jazz music. Receive a Family Weekend departure gift.

Tickets
One of the highlights of Family Weekend is the football game; the Family Weekend 2026 game will be Saturday, October 3, 2026. This year, the Jayhawks will play Middle Tennessee.
You can get access to KU Football tickets for the Family Weekend game on October 3rd. All available purchase tickets will be in reserved seat sections.
